Floribunda
A rose of height (90–120 cm) and width (90 cm). Flowers (17–25 petals) bloom in small clusters. Bright yellow double flowers reach 9-10 cm in diameter, appearing in clusters of 3–20 throughout the season. The lemon-yellow color does not fade with age, even in hot climates, which is a problem for many other yellow varieties. The rose has a light fragrance, reddish thorns, and medium-sized glossy dark green leaves. It has high disease resistance and blooms in waves from spring to autumn.
The Sun Flare rose won a gold medal in Japan in 1981, in Portland in 1982, and was named the winner of the All-America Rose Selections contest in 1983.
