Floribunda
Pomponella has won a large number of competitions and agricultural exhibitions.
This rose belongs to fast-growing varieties with a compact and lush crown. Its strong, straight branches are abundantly covered with small leaves, colored in a rich green shade with a slight glossy sheen. The small, ovate leaves have a tough, leathery texture and wavy edges with tiny serrations.
On one flowering stem of a healthy, profusely blooming plant, between 5 to 10 salmon-pink buds can form. The small bright pink flowers are spherical in shape and do not exceed 5 cm in diameter. On the stem of one mature and strong plant, 15 to 18 flowers can develop, possessing a delicate and faint fragrance with floral notes.
The rose has several advantages:
Unpretentiousness
Quick adaptation to climate changes
Long and abundant flowering period
Delicate and pleasant fragrance
Undemanding to soil
Easy care and propagation
Resistance to temperature fluctuations
Retention of flower shape after rain
Resistance to the most common diseases and pests
Suitable for cutting
Flowering Features
The Pomponella rose is a profusely blooming plant, with bud formation starting in early June and continuing until late October. Often the last flowers can be seen around the first frosts. The plant blooms in waves with short intervals. Dense, spherical buds open gradually and unhurriedly. Thick petals are firmly fixed in the inflorescence and maintain their aesthetic appeal and fresh appearance for a long period. Special attention should be given to the delicate aroma of the flowers, which subtly permeates all corners of the garden. Sweetish notes give the plant a special charm.
The bright inflorescences do not lose their shape during summer rains, though their colors fade under direct sunlight.
Use in Landscape Design: The profusely flowering bush is a versatile tool in the hands of landscape designers. Lush bushes can be both standalone elements and part of flowering compositions in mixed borders, flower beds, and rose gardens. Due to the large number of flowers and their long-lasting freshness, this variety can be used for making bouquets and floral arrangements.
