Climbing rose (Bourbon rose)
A true gift for lovers of fragrant roses!
The rose Madame Isaac Pereire is one of the most acclaimed antique roses. It has earned numerous awards and titles. In particular, it was recognized as the most fragrant rose by the Canadian Rose Society National Rose Show (1999). The rose’s scent enchants with a combination of ripe raspberry and vanilla notes. Additionally, its flowers (8-10 cm) impress with their extraordinary shape of elegantly arranged petals. The blooming of this rose is bright and memorable, occurring in waves. Its delicate petals are colored in a striking deep pink, sometimes almost fuchsia, which shimmers with coral and burgundy shades in the sunlight. The intensity of the color depends on the growing conditions. Among the drawbacks are a rather thorny bush with long shoots, which is recommended to be pinned to the ground to ensure flowering along the entire length the following year; as well as the need for preventive treatment with fungicides. But for this heavenly fragrance and magnificent color, all can be forgiven!
