Hybrid Tea
This variety differs from other roses by its rare and elegant combination of light shades with pronounced raspberry edging on the petals. It was this elegance and airiness of the flower that prompted the refined Empress of Iran, Farah Pahlavi, to name the rose after herself. Another undoubted advantage of the rose is its unpretentiousness in care. The culture bushes are tall, dense, well-leaved, upright, 100-125 cm high and up to 80 cm wide. The shoots are elongated, powerful, with a moderate number of thorns. Thorns with a wide base grow straight, with a slight downward slope. The leaves are large, glossy, with a delicate light green tint. Usually, one goblet-shaped bud is formed on the shoots. The petals of the flowers (up to 25 pcs.) are white in color, with a raspberry edging. They are closely arranged in relation to each other and after opening, they turn outward. For this reason, the raspberry-colored edges are more noticeable. Double flowers are cup-shaped, about 12-13 cm in diameter. The arrangement of the flowers is single, but it can also be in inflorescences of 1-5 pcs. The emitted aroma is a combination of rose and pear, the intensity of the aroma is weak. The bushes bloom abundantly in waves throughout the season, starting from June, until the appearance of frosts (late October). The first flowering occurs in the 2nd year after planting in open ground. The aroma of the flowers is not pronounced, at great distances it is practically not felt. In the morning, the scent of roses is more intense, and by evening it is almost gone. Half-open buds look elegant and refined - at the beginning of the opening process, they are raspberry or carmine-red, and later, during the opening, the bent petals acquire white shades with pronounced raspberry edges. The underside of the petals is attractively silvered. The flowers last about 10 days, in hot periods they wither slightly faster, but in cool days they retain their freshness longer. Resistance of the variety to diseases and pests: the culture has a powerful immune potential that prevents typical rose diseases and pest attacks. In particular, it successfully resists powdery mildew and black spot. Winter hardiness: the rose can withstand cold temperatures down to -23 degrees Celsius. However, in cool regions, covering the bushes for the winter is necessary. Use in garden design: the rose has a number of necessary virtues that determine the possibility of its successful cultivation for decorative decoration. Throughout the entire development cycle of the bud, it does not lose its attractiveness and decorativeness at all, both in the budding phase and in the fully open state. Functionally, it is better to use it in landscape design as an accent.
