A plant passport is an official document certifying that seedlings have been grown in a registered nursery included in the Register of Professional Operators and regularly inspected in accordance with plant health requirements.
The plant passport is attached after an inspection by an inspector of the State Plant Protection Service, who confirms that the seedlings meet phytosanitary requirements, and a decision is made to allow the use of plant passports.
Plant passports are required if seedlings are distributed for commercial purposes - when supplied to shops, landscaping companies, etc., as well as in cases where seedlings are sold using distance contracts (online sales).
